To all you guys complaining that you cant spin your ships anymore, SERIOUSLY a game as complex as eve and your going to cancel your sub because you cant spin your ship. Please tell me your kidding. Someone develop a phone app for these people to enable them to spin their ships 24/7. If spinning your ship was the most exciting thing you could do while docked you are in need of help or perhaps just some friends to talk to.
Yes I feel a little let down by CQ, it does get boring very quickly. The sense of scale just isnt right on the hanger balcony. But its what can be found beyond the door to the rest of the station where things will really get interesting. I agree with people's request to have the option to enter CQ. After all when i fly from Manchester to Sydney I am not forced to get off the Plane in Singapore when it lands. But in eve options we do have the ability to turn CQ off. So what if you don't get to see your ship spin, I suggest you re-read first paragraph if that upsets you.
In regards to movement. Double click on the spot on the floor where you would like to walk to and you will walk there unaided. I find if i hold down the Right Mouse button then the left i will walk in the direction that the camera is pointing and just need to move the mouse about to change direction. No need to use keyboard at all. I am not sure if this is default as i did go into movement tab and do the key combination for shortcuts but it didn't indicate at all that it was saved.
My laptop is two years old and is by far no where near top of the range. I would be lucky if i can class it middle of the range but CQ works fine for me. If i put everything in high detail then yes it becomes laggy. But I'm just happy it works at all. I don't need everything in high detail. however I do wish I could lay on the bed, that would be cool. No Station Services access point in CQ, is this an oversight?
In regards to the personal items you can purchase. Seriously a t-shirt that cost's the same as 4 - 5 Ravens in Eve Economy. What the hell are they made from, Diamond encrusted, gold plated, Megacyte woven into exotic fibres? I am not tight with my money after all I wasted ú1.99 today so my kid could make stupid explosion on my smart phone while playing Talking Ben in his chemistry lab as he gets a kick out of the animations. But High Street Prices in the virtual world is a joke. Even Apple sell MP3 Albums cheaper than the real thing you buy in you local music store, and they are famous for overpricing.
Anyhow that's my two bits. I know this is the first step to what is yet to come and personally I cant wait. I love Eve and I love the added element, Eve can be so much more than what it currently is and Incarna proves it.
